Do we live in a surveillance society? We have had our actions monitored for a long period of time, but in this hi tech age of electronics more and more of our day-to-day actions can be monitored. "Some surveillance practices have been a feature of modern life for a long time. Medical records, voting lists, housing registers, tax files and employee numbers are of what everyday living is all about, ". ("The future of surveillance". D.H.S Lyon. 2001). This statement is just a pointing out some of the ways we could be monitored before the development of higher and newer technologies. All of this information helped to create an image of the population, but that picture was a blur compared to the surveillance abilities of today.
