This essay is set to investigate the legal and ethical issues surrounding Intellectual Property in website design. To start with, a description of what intellectual property is will be given, followed by an explanation of the Legal protection involved in website design, the different legislative Acts, and Fair use provision that has been implemented. Finally to be concluded with the Ethical issues contained within the subject. Intellectual property in other words is the legal entitlement that can be attached to the expressed type of idea, or to some other concrete subject. It refers to creations of the intellect, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce.
