Task D Legislation Introduction As technology has become more part of our lives, and computers and the internet was introduced, certain problems arose. Legislations or laws were put in place to stop people misusing these new products. Legislations protect personal information, health & safety and essentially privacy; they try to control the vastly expanding technologies that are computers, making the internet a safer place for us and children, to some extant. But, as inventors introduce new technologies it becomes to control and protect from people stealing and generally misusing the system. It is important that the internet is monitored by the government as it could help stop possible terrorist's acts or foul play. Without legislations the internet would not be as safe place for you and your children as explicit content, viruses and hackers could easily roam.
