Section 1- Specification 1. Background to Problem St Mary's College is a small sixth form college in Blackburn; although small it is still a modern college that uses photocopies to present to student rather than using the old fashion ways of using textbooks. Within the college there are two photocopying machines that staff can use or alternatively they can ask two staffs to do the printing jobs in the reprographics department, where an offset lithograph printer is used. The staffs here are always under pressure to deliver on time and apart from actually producing the printed material they spend a lot of time logging job details and working out the matching costs.
