Question 1 Demonstrate the usefulness of drawing a cumulative frequency curve. (30 marks) A cumulative frequency curve (also known as an ogive) is a graphical representation of the number of items that have values that are either above or below a given level. It is also described as the running total of all the given frequencies. In order to illustrate this curve, one must start off by drawing a graph that places the cumulative frequency values along a vertical line, or Y-axis, while placing the intervals on the horizontal line, or X-axis. Then the appropriate points from the data are then plotted on this graph, and these points are connected by a single line to form the cumulative frequency curve.
