She uses a wide range of technology to help her at home as well as at her job and in her daily life. She has a part time job in Safeway but also works for a charity. Nicola wants to be a TV presenter. She lives in Blyth and her hobbies are sports. Usher syndrome is a major disability caused to deaf blindness in adults which affects 3-6 % of the people in the UK who were born deaf or partially hearing People with Usher have got a genetic condition which means that they are born deaf or they have got a hard hearing problem which then gradually makes them start to lose their sight.
