When Grannies Use Computers My grandmother is 76 years old and 5 years ago she decided to take my advice and buy herself a computer. She assured me she could use it, since she had taken typewriting lessons in the past. I giggled and told her that there was a bit more to a computer than typing. Let me recount some of her adventures: her computer had started misbehaving and crashing a lot, and I told her to bring it to the store so they could take a look at it (I live 9 hours away from her, so I couldn't solve her problems). Thinking she was bringing the computer, she brought the monitor back to the store. The clerk looked at her and asked where the computer was, and she pointed to the monitor.
