The IT Age As we progress into the twenty-first century, computers and electronic devices are getting more technologically advanced to suit our needs. These man-made machines and technology make our work more efficient. However, they have also their disadvantages. On one hand, IT has helped in globalization and bridged communication gaps between people overseas. On the other hand, we have become over-reliant on IT. IT has also brought about privacy issues. IT has not only brought the world closer together, but it has allowed the world's economy to become a single interdependent system. This means that we can not only share information quickly and efficiently, but we can also bring down barriers of linguistic and geographic boundaries.
