... What was the nature and purpose of the Hitler Youth movement? In 1923, Adolf Hitler founded a youth group called the Hitler Youth. Hitler realised that by controlling children he would completely control the future German race. The aim of the Hitler Youth was to indoctrinate children to believe that Nazi beliefs were the only true ideas and would result in Germany becoming the greatest country in the world. They did this during school, by changing the curriculum to teach Hitler's policys and beliefs. However, he also controlled young German lives outside school, using Hitler Youth as a cover-up for a manipulative ploy for a future army. At first, boys in the Hitler youth were very badly disciplined and were though of my many to be vandals.
