Hitler came to power because Weimar was weak, I agree, but like many other historical events there are a number of causes, which contributed to his rise. From 1924-1929 Hitler was in jail and Germany was blessed with prosperity. During this time, the Weimar government elected a new leader, Gustav Stresemann, he was a liberator to the Germans as he was a strong leader and gave the stability Germany desperately needed, he solved the hyperinflation by creating a new currency - the Rentenmark, and set up the Dawes Plan which helped Germany get back on her feet. The Nazi party only managed to get 12 seats in the Reichstag during this time, as there was no need for any extremist party. In October 1929, Gustav Stresemann died and the Wall St Crash occurred October 29th. This did not just upset Germany; it
