Many significant events took place in Britain between 1905 and 1951.
The Labour, or the 'Democratic Socialist', political party was founded.
While women were gaining political power during this time, the country was also falling into a slump.
The Great Depression of the 1930s struck as the UK was digging themselves out of debt caused by the involvement of WWI.
