Why was Public Health more effective under the Romans than under the Vikings and Saxons? The Romans were a key influence in Public Heath throughout history. They came up with many new discoveries and creations which modern ideas are based on. The Saxons and Vikings who came after the Romans had all the same technology and could have created more but instead their was great regress in Public Health during this time. To theses people hygiene was not important and belief in education decreased so new inventions were not possible and there was no knowledge to come up with new ideas. The Romans used many Greek ideas and also managed to come up with several theories of their own. The key idea that developed during this time was that of public health and the government took action in order to improve the health of the people. They had many laws including burying...
