Through out these sources I will be looking at what people thought of the 60's, how it became 'The swinging sixties' and what affect it left on the future of today's society. In this section I will be talking about the background of the 1960's; as in the new laws, new developments and a society full of freedom and change. Source A1 is written by Bernard Levin who was a journalist in the 1960's. In this source he says 'The 1960's saw an old world die and a new one comes to birth,' this means that around the 1960's the world was changing and developing rapidly in the 60's more then any other decade. Source A2 is showing new laws that were introduced in the 1960's that gave people grater freedom.
