Calgary Bibliography and Review There were multitudes of articles written regarding Calgary contained within the volumes of the Alberta Historical Review. Many focussed on the establishment of the city, while others regarded the concerns and interests of its people. Of these articles I have chosen to review "Woman's Canadian Club of Calgary" by Elise A. Corbet. This article is based on a social aspect of early Calgary, focussing on the activities of one of the first women's organizations in the city. The author reviews the many activities that the women pursued, from donating to charity, to reinforcing the importance of Canadian History within the education system. Through various methods the women enrolled within the organization worked to establish and preserve a feeling of patriotism within the city.
