I chose to write about a monologue about a child who is being abused after I finished reading 'A Child Called 'It'' by 'Dave Pelzer'. I found this autobiography about him very touching . They made me think about what it would be like to be in the shoes of the person who was being abused. So I decided to write a similar extract in the same style. The book is about the life of Dave Pelzer, who was brutally beaten and starved by his emotionally unstable, alcoholic mother. She was a mother who played terrible, unpredictable games. These games left him nearly dead. He had to learn how to play his mother's games in order to survive because she no longer considered him a son, but a slave; and no longer a boy, but an "it."
