... WORST-CASE SCENERIO - Surviving a Storm - 1. Try and stay indoors; locate a "safe room" and stay away from any windows. 2. If possible, quickly close all interior doors. 3. Tune in to your local radio station so that you can now the current news of the storm and any extra safety precautions you should take. 4. Consider checking that all circuit breakers are off before the power goes out and simply avoid using any electric appliances. 5. Whilst there is light get a candle so that if the power goes out you have a source of light. 6. Do not attempt to leave your "safe room" at any time during the storm. 7. If your house appears to be tearing apart get a mattress and a pillow for extra safety. If your "safe room" is a bathroom get in the bathtub and cover your self with a mattress. 8. Constantly stay tuned in with your radio
