It is a small village in the Pennines, surrounded by limestone dry-stone walls, and with a stream running right through the middle of the village. Malham is one of the most popular villages in the Yorkshire Dales and attracts tourists, geologists and naturalists. The main attractions to visit are Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Malham has been a settlement for at least a thousand years. One hundred years ago, Malham was a place of mills and mines. Now, hill farms and tourism are the main activities.
