Romeo and Juliet essay... Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is based on a real life scenario which happened between a couple in Verona, Italy. William Shakespeare adapted the story into a play which was first published in 1597. The play is about a young man and woman who come from the two main influential noble families in Verona, who for generations have held a bitter feud. Romeo is the son of the head of the Montague family and Juliet is the daughter of the head of the Capulet family. Romeo and Juliet accidently meet at a masquerade ball held at the Capulet family home. Romeo's curiousity about the Capulets persuades him to attend the ball uninvited as he can disguise himself in a mask. He meets Juliet and they fall deeply in love, but have to keep this secret because of their families' hatred for each other. Nurse...
