Plan o Introduction o We will talk about the character of scrooge at the start of the novel o Scrooge's past: him as a school kid, his dad and his fiancé o Victorian poverty, including the Cratchets and tiny Tim o Victorian society: poor house, treadmill's and prisons o Victorian Christmases + his nephew o The warning + the ghost of Christmas yet to come Introduction Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character in the book A Christmas Carol. He is a miserable old man who is visited by spirits and turns over a new leaf about Christmas. The novel was written as a warning to Victorian society that the way they live at the moment was wrong, and something had to change. I will be looking at the character of
