Beep! Beep! Beep! The sound of beeping was a blur and all Grace could hear was a gentle humming, deeply sinister yet comforting to her. She loosened up, feeling lightweight. The noise of people shouting frantically was slowly fading, and her mind was simultaneously more at ease than it had ever been before. Then bit-by-bit, the rush of noise boomed back at her, melting her brain and body with the overwhelming sense of being alive, blood gushing round and round, keeping her alive. She looked up, her weary eyes taking a while to get used to the light. She tried painfully to speak yet her voice was coarse and unable to string a single word together. She pushed herself up, expecting to rise yet all her energy was drained out of her, and she remained limp. Damaged. Gasp. Gasp. Can't breathe. It's too hard. 'Help.' she managed...
