In the following essay I am to discuss the different techniques used in two versions of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, that bring the famous creation scene to life. Both comparing and contrasting. Mary Shelley's original story of Frankenstein is the story of a young 'scientist', called Victor Frankenstein, who becomes obsessed with life and death and sets out to bring life to dead matter. After bringing life to his creation he abandons it causing the creature to set out to destroy him, by killing those close to him. Mary Shelley was the daughter of William Godwin, who was a political theorist, novelist and publisher. She met the poet Percy Shelley when she was fifteen and after having two
