Tyler Ranch Soledad Salinas 17th August 1933 To Betsy-May, Its been ages since I heard from you. Last time you wrote you'd just met a new man called Joe at some dance. And then last week I got a letter from Clara saying you'd gotten married to him so I hope your marriage is going well and the both of you are happy. I hope your enjoying your new life in Weed with him and that you are both fit and well. As you should know, I got married recently too, to a man named Curley. Im living here on Tyler Ranch, near to Soledad, with Curley, his father and the workers. I married Curley just 2 weeks ago but im already regretting that decision. As you know, I was told that I could have been in the movies, by two different men, but my damn mother stole the letter...
