Recent Reviews of Animal Farm Essays

What our users think of the Animal Farm essays in this section:

"Excellent essay portraying the character of boxer. A great help to understanding how boxer fits into the big picture of the book. "

"Right. I think this essay could do with a lot more integrated points to thoroughly back up the (very good) points you're making. At the moment all you're doing is elucidating the cultural and social context and alluding to the novel. There's no point in doing this unless you've got textual evidence."
TSR
"characterisation of boxer clear and concise with appropriate quotes"
mmuir
" When Horace was thrown into the lion's den he whispered something in the lion's ear and the lion slunk off and left him. The audience was astonished and demanded to know what it was that made the lion slink off with his tail between his legs and not eat him as intended. Horace, with a smug look, like the cat that swallowed the canary, said: "I only reminded him that he would be expected to say a few words after the meal" Had I known that I would be expected to write a review I might have had second thoughts about reading the essay in the first place. But here goes, very briefly:- Well written, concise, appropriate headings, animals adequately dealt with, even the cat (frequently ignored) Can I go now? "
johncoen05
"It gives, if not comprehensive, a fairly balanced comprison of the fairy tale techniques. It is impressive and thoughtfully crafted. I give it a rating of 3 star."
