What does the nurse add to the dramatic impact on the audience? Act1 Scene3 This is the first time the audience meets the nurse. In this scene the nurse talks about Juliet's childhood while Lady Capulet talks about Juliet's marriage. Lady Capulet tells the nurse that Juliet is going to get married to Paris as she's fourteen but the nurse tells Lady Capulet she isn't. The nurse's impact on the audience is that she knows Juliet a lot more than Juliet's mother. In this scene the nurse is very close to Juliet and it shows this to the audience by the nurse knowing more than Lady Capulet. Lady Capulet is keen for Juliet to marry Paris but the nurse isn't.
