Act 3 Julius Caesar Amanda Daniels Scene 1 1. In regards to Artemidorus' request, "Hail Caesar! read this schedule," Caesar's nobility dooms him. After Artemidorus says that, Desius tried to distract Caesar with more reading material. "Trebonius doth desire you to read o'er-read...this humble suit." Caesars nobility dooms him when Artemidorus says "O Caesar, read [this] first; for [this is] a suit that touches Caesar nearer." Caesar feels that he should deal with public matters first and personal matters second. "What touches us ourself shall be served last." 2. Metellus' petition to Caesar is for the repealing of his banished brother. "Is there no voice worthier...to sound more sweetly in Caesar's ear, for the repealing of [Metellus'] banish'd brother?" The other conspirators join in asking Caesar to free Publius. "[Brutus]... [desires] thee that Publius Cimber may have an immediate freedom of repeal." "...beg enfranchisement for Publius Cimber."
