In the beginning, Basil Hallward, an artist paints a portrait of Dorian Gray. Through Sir Henry's influence, his attitude towards life changed when he saw his own portrait. He wanted to stay young forever, and as unchanging as the wonderful portrait that was painted of him. Later on, in a reckless moment, he did many sinful deeds. Mysteriously and supernaturally, the portrait changes from a handsome man to a man with a horrible face. The many years of sin had become etched on the picture.
