Describe the character of Lord Illingworth. "A Woman Of No Importance" by Oscar Wilde is a play with so many characters in it but the heart of story runs along, Lord Illingworth, Mr.s Arbuthnot and Gerald. While reading the play, it is well noticed that Oscar Wilde is a well-known play writer who knows almost everything about woman and he expresses it through different characters in the play. Lord Illingworth, who is one of the main characters in the play takes one side where he can be described as a wicket person when he presents no respect and value for women and that is why I think Oscar wilde intentionally named the play "A Woman Of No Importance" to put the whole idea of lord Illingworth's intentions towards women of that era. He keeps on setting bad comments on woman's character through out the play, for example he says, "Beautiful women...
