An Inspector calls by (J.B Priestly).

... An Inspector calls by (J.B Priestly). The play was first produced in London on 1 st October 1946 at the New theatre, All three acts, which are continuous, take place in the dinning room of the Birling's house in Brumley, an industrial city in the North Midlands It is an evening in spring in the year of 1912. The characters are as follows: Arthur Birling, Sybil Birling- his wife Shelia birling- his daughter Eric Birling- his son Edna-the maid Gerald Croft Inspector Goole. The Inspectors goal was to make all of the characters feel guilty for what they had done to Eva Smith, and he was very successful in doing so, as he had turned the family against each other and upside down. I am not sure if he meant to do that purposely, but he made them think about life and how one action can make a lot of difference. I think that the Inspector gives it away
