The Curious Incident I want to tell you how it happened. It was quite a long time ago now, even though it comes to my mind so often; still it is very hard to believe, it was a life changing incident. It is ten years to the day. Heading back to our small pitiful flat on the outskirts of Chester, having just been to the local shops to buy as much cheap food as was possible, to last us a whole week, I can vividly remember that I couldn't buy much because we were short of money again. We had car taxes, insurance and bills piling up with final demands due any day. I was looking forward to getting home because I hadn't seen my husband Phil for the whole weekend; he had been working hard to raise some extra money so hopefully we could keep the dept collectors off the doorstep....
