`The Golden Bough' ... I was still sitting on the chair when I heard a voice telling me to go home. So, I did. On the way out something caught my eye which had never caught it before upon entering. A mirror stood perched upon a clear glass table. I walked closer, my eyes teasing me with the reflection that glazed off it. To my horror, it was the same face. I couldn't even notice myself anymore. It couldn't be, but it was. It was like someone had taken my facial features and soul and placed them in some worthless human beings body. For once in my life I felt powerful and important: Hair gelled back; tie and suit spotless; shoes fully shined you could see you reflection upon them. I jumped back not believing and in disgust.
