Story "As I closed the door behind me I knew that life could never be the same again . . ." Becki got out of the car, flung her hair over her shoulder, blew her boyfriend a kiss and ran up the drive towards her house. "See you in two hours," he called after her as she let herself into her house. The light faded as she closed the door behind her and leant back against it. She looked all around the narrow corridor, slowly, as if she was trying to absorb every little detail. Then she dawdled into the living room and slumped down onto a chair by the window, sitting so that she stored out of it. She fiddled with the new band of gold on her left hand, moving it gently from side to side so that its sparkly stone reflected the rays of afternoon sunshine that shone through the living...
