It was the 9th September 1989 when a young woman was brought into hospital having contractions. She was 24 years old scared and alone not knowing what to expect. Her husband was at work as usual but she was in the best place. Twenty four hours passed, followed by Twenty four more. She began to think nothing was ever going to happen. Then, as the clock passed midnight, the pains grew stronger and stronger. She was moved quickly to the delivery suite. She lay on the delivery table, her mum at her side, the midwife and doctor were close by. Her husband however was asleep in the waiting room! At 5.28 in the morning she gave her final push and into the world giving his first cry came this little baby boy weighing seven pounds eight ounces. He was named Anthony James Reginald Lacchetta.
