The Lonely Worm Wallace was no ordinary worm. He was brought up like all the other worms on Wormoil estate but he was no ordinary worm. He had a long, slimy body like all the other worms but he was no ordinary worm. He had exactly the same needs as the other worms but he was no ordinary worm. You see Wallace was born with a terrible disability. Unfortunately Wallace was born without any eyes. So while all the other worm girls and worm boys played in the mud outside, Wallace's mother, Winnie, made him stay inside in the hope that his eyes might grow. "Oh please let me out mother, I want to play in the mud! I promise to be careful" cried Wallace, but still Winnie would not let him. "I'm sorry my dearest Wallace but if you stay inside, your eyes might have a better chance of growing!" So...
