The Grenade Basra, March 21st 2004 "Grenade" yelled someone from the third infantry division. Brad who was on lookout heard or saw nothing, and stood at his post inside a doorway unsuspecting the horror which was about to unfold. Doug longtime friend of Brad sprinted to get him to safety. The ash like road was dust clouds as Doug sped along it. The almighty force of Doug blasted Brad through the bamboo door. He could not save him self. The deafening explosion blew the damaged doorway to rubble. Brad's bold eyes opened to see wires dangling from the roof, and ribbons of Doug's uniform. When the division withdrew from the city in southern Iraq, they were one man short of a team. They all offered sympathy and condolences, it was of no use.
