Joe Gill 10A1 Original writing MY LEFT KNEE It was one boring Saturday afternoon stuck at my father's. No one was out; Matt and Andy had football, Carrys and Liam were at their mother's and Paul was ill. As usual for a Saturday afternoon nothing was on television so I decided to go on a bike ride. My bike was the bee's knees. It was green and black, with silver handlebars, ace stickers across the crowbar, horns, hooters the lot. The tyres were a bit worn but nevertheless, I believed that it was the greatest bike in the world. That bike was my independence, my means to freedom and great games with my friends. That bike was my world. As I was only nine at the time I wasn't allowed off the estate so I'd just do the set 'estate lap'. The children living on the estate made up the estate lap...
