With reference to the ASDA magazine article 'Easy like Sunday...' show how advertisers attempt to manipulate their audience. How successful do you think they have been in this case? Give reasons for your answer. 'Easy like Sunday' is an article in a complementary magazine which advertises and promotes ASDA products. It is a public relations text and the company uses various methods to disseminate messages about its products and services to customers, employees, stockholders, suppliers and other interested members of the community. The article has been promoted by using an idiom from a famous song by the Commodores - "Easy like Sunday...", which targets women in their 30s, who are very likely to remember the song from their teens.
