Meeting Miss Havisham In the first line the phrase "a clear voice demanded" tells us that Estella is a spoilt and demanding girl. She is used to getting her way with Miss Havisham so she acts this way with everyone else. When Estella says "Ah! But you see she don't" this implies that she is very negative and arrogant; she has been brought up to have no emotion. Also this quote, " Though she called me 'boy' so often, and with carelessness that was far from complimentary..." suggests that Estella believes that she is above Pip and has no good reason to call him by his name. When Pip says, "Being a girl, and beautiful and self-possessed; and she was scornful of me as if she had been one-and-twenty, and a queen." the statement shows us that Pip feels that Estella is a queen and she is more important than anyone...
