Cherie Mitchell 23rd September 2007 GCSE English Homework If Nobody Speaks Of Remarkable Things by John McGregor I would describe the piece of writing as both descriptive and emotional to read. I think the author has an excellent style of writing which is very individual and unusual. I also welcome the fact that he uses short sentences, resulting in the writing being similar to poetry to read. McGregor's use of language is very clever, making the text interesting and captivating to read. I have a vivid mental picture from this piece and can actually visualise and imagine being there. I think McGregor is very skilled in his ability to recount his findings and represent them in such an absorbing and engaging way.
