Creative writing Homework 01/12/04 I was awoken by the burning smell of uncle Robs' dinner, it was left in the oven for when Vince got back from work but he had obviously stayed out as he did on most nights and come back in the early hours of this morning. He would usually turn it off when he arrived home, this was weird enough but the circumstances became even more bizarre when I got up from my bunk, in the converted attic to see that the time was nearing midday and the house was completely silent. Even the creaky front door wasn't screaming, which it would frequently do when it was shut, could it be open? This got me thinking were the family out shopping?
