How do the Ghosts in 'A Christmas Carol' transform Scrooge from a Victorian Miser into a Victorian Benefactor? The ghosts in "A Christmas Carol" are the main reason for Scrooge's transformation. They show him what he is missing and what benefits will come to him if he changes. He turns from being someone who rejects charitable workers to a character who wants to donate to people less well off than he is. The ghosts have helped him turn from a miser to a benefactor. The ghosts from "A Christmas Carol" transform Scrooge by showing him what he is missing in life, especially at Christmas. Dickens uses three different ghosts, the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.
