The Man He Killed and My Last Duchess Both poems are talking about death; however both talk about death in a completely different aspect. My Last Duchess is full of emotion, expressions and feelings. In comparison, The Man He Killed is about thoughts, feelings and confession. They both talk about the death of someone. My Last Duchess talks about the confession of jealously towards a wife from a husband meanwhile The Man He Killed is about the guilt of killing a stranger; a stranger that he could have got to known and become friends with. Both poems are full of depth and feelings. The Man He Killed gives us the impression that war is there for no reason. What is the point of war, when all it does is kill innocent people as its trying to make peace? What peace is there in killing innocent people? The persona is showing us...
