Laundrette This poem has something to do with the washing of clothes. The heading tells us that this poem was also set in a laundrette a p[lace were clothes are washed so it has something to do with laundry and the people in there. 1st Stanza- "Nebulous in steam" The room is hot it becomes so steamy like there is no air in the room it says, " it calms the air and makes the windows steam" this shows the hotness of the room. 2nd Stanza- The poet or the people in there start to put in their clothes they do not organise the clothes instead they "stuff" them in or shove them. The machines start spinning these peoples eyes are fixed on the machine maybe because they are attracted by the different colours in there or they are being hypnotised by the spinning of the clothes and washing machine.
