The version I saw was performed at the phoenix Theatre and written by Willy Russell it was a scripted piece and was written for young adults as some concepts would be unsuitable for children On the 12th of December 2007 we went to see blood brothers. Blood brothers is a 1980 musical with book, lyrics and music by willy Russell. It is one of the longest running plays of all time, with the 1988 west end production still running after nearly 20 years. Its basically the story of prince and the pauper.
