Resentment occurs when we do not want to accept complete responsibility for our actions and instead find a scapegoat to blame. Resentment also occurs when we "feel" that we have been treated unfairly by someone else, or when we think that life is more unfair to us than others. How does resentment affect us? It causes the place where we learn or work to become a bad place as everyone would be wary of each other and afraid to be victimized. This causes the team not to be able to cooperate well to produce good standards, which lowers the results. It also makes us unwilling to trust each other and may even cause us to lose our friends.
