Process- Stored programs for different wash cycles, e.g. woollens, cotton etc. Each programme controls the water temperature and level, and the timing and sequence of the wash, rinse and spin cycles. Output- Switches to operate water pumps and valves water heaters and the drum motor. The diagram above shows the process of a washing machine and the input, output and process it follows. If any of the variables change during a washing cycle and increase above or decrease below the allowed level, then the computer control will activate and the appropriate measures will be taken.
