what is healty eating? Healthy Eating often means making only small changes in the meals we eat, eating a little more of some items and al little less of others. There are eight guidelines to a balanced diet and they are: 1 Enjoy your food 2 Eat a variety of different foods. 3 Eat the right amount to stay a healthy weight. 4 Eat plenty of foods rich in starch and fibre. 5 Don't eat too much fat. 6 Don't eat sugary foods too often. 7 Look after the vitamins and minerals in your food. 8 If you drink alcohol, keep within sensible limits. The balance to a good health is based on five commonly accepted food groups. Bread, potatoes and other cereals have the main nutrients of carbohydrate (starch) and Fibre.
