The market for between meal snacks grows continually. A food manufacturer is keen to meet this demand by targeting a particular age group and develop a NOVEL product that would go some way to improve their nutritional intake in line with current dietary requirements. develop a prototype for the manufacture. Introduction. "An in-between meal snack is a small meal or just one item of food, that will tide you over until the next main meal of the day." An in between meal snack could be considered as a jacket potato or beans on toast, to the smaller snacks such as crisps or chocolate biscuits. The type of snack will depend on the target audience, as a high class business man wouldn't be seen eating a sesame street cookie, but at the same time a small child wouldn't be eating a vegetable samosa from pret manger!
