What draws attention immediately is the imposed black box, which with its title makes it clear what this article about. The writer is focusing on this popular idea of ' Frankenstein foods', which brings to mind images of mad scientists creating unholy creations with scraps of other foods just as Dr Frankenstein created his monster from scarps of dead human tissue. This comparison does well to shock the reader and scare him with this comparison to a horror movie. Within this box lie several images. To the left is a rather grim picture of Frankenstein's monster and to the right lay several unbranded packets of everyday household goods such as ice cream, chocolate, crisps, bread and cereal.
