(Davis, Bull and Roscoe, 2000) Evidence is steadily mounting that what we eat plays a major role in our long-term health. Heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes may be avoidable if we eat properly. If we over-eat and don't follow a nutritious, well-balanced diet, we may be encouraging these and other serious illnesses to shorten our lives. We may also become over-weight, which causes lots of health risks. We manage weight for many different reasons; cosmetic, aesthetic, self esteem and to improve our sports performance. There are many different methods to manage weight. One of these methods is diet. There are lots of different diets that will help you manage weight, e.g. the Atkins diet, the Pritikin diet, the Beverly Hills diet...
