Mc Donaldization is the process by which the society takes on the characteristics of a fast food restaurant. George Ritzer defines that Mc Donaldization of society is the process by which the principles of the fast food restaurants are coming to dominate more and more sectors of the American society as well as of the rest of the world. It all begun with the McDonald brothers: Maurice and Richard. In 1940, the brothers decided to open a small drive-in restaurant, because the only business that they had seen succeeding in the current economy was a little hot-dog stand.
